How does it feel to have a doctor believe you and want to help in the way you want help? And how should you react? This will be a short post as I am still trying to figure out the answers to these questions.
On November 23 we went to another doctor this time out of Canada. We had traveled the 8 hours to Myerstown, PA to see a doctor recommended to us. We were in the office talking to him for about 30 minutes (maybe even less actually!). He definitely thinks that Kevin has Lyme disease and wants him to start antibiotics right away! This is something that may get tricky crossing the border but the doctor wants to look into what he can do!
The doctor heard and believed our suspicion about binders/fillers in pills and wants to get custom pills made for Kevin that do not have any binders/fillers in them.
We feel so blessed and blown away by this appointment and I know for myself it is so hard to believe it was that easy.
And because I know you are all wondering, both our border crossings went incredibly smooth! On our way down the checkpoint officer did not ask for any proof where we were going just asked why we were going and what town the doctor was in and how we planned to pay. On the way back they asked for a letter from the doctor (to prove our medical exemption). He also asked if we had any symptoms but other then that neither boarder asked for proof of vaccination or negative Covid tests (we had gotten tested in case we needed it). If you are traveling as a medically exempt person it seems to be very easy, at least in our case it was by the grace of God.
