This week I was not sure what to write about. We have some answers now and we have started treatment and at first, we thought it was not so bad and then it got rougher. I was definitely more stressed out last week and I am very thankful for spring break this week! It could not have come at a better time. I am ready to just relax, catch up on some house work and maybe order some window boxes for a herb and lettuce window box garden for our balcony.
The treatment plan that Kevin is on includes 4 different kinds of drops he takes twice a day, 2 kinds of powders that he makes into a shake twice a day, 2 different digestive pills he takes with every meal, a liquid that he takes 15 minutes before another pill once a day, 4 different pills he takes every evening, chia pudding every morning, an oil heat pack on his stomach every evening, and an oil pull (swishing coconut oil in his mouth for 10min) every day. It sounds like a lot, and it is! I’ve made a comprehensive spreadsheet to mark everything off so he does not miss a dose.
Right now, the mountain feels very big that we are climbing but I am trusting that all the work that we are putting into Kevin’s health now will pay off in the future with a full recovery!
All healing takes work and I am choosing, every day, every hour, to fight for the end goal. Healing is challenging no matter what it is. We need to choose to fight for our health and for the health of those around us. We are in this for the long game.
